Voices of more than 1400 children echoed on the dawn of 22nd January 2006 against the ever-growing menace of air pollution that is subtly eating the lungs of millions of people living across the country during The Bangalore Cycling Marathon. The Marathon commenced at Vidhana Soudha and was held for boys and girls in 2 categories: Junior - 8 to 11 years and Senior - 12 to 15 years. The pre event campaign included 30 cycles campaigning for the race on the road for a week. Ashwini Nanchappa and Master Kishan inaugurated the race
